Luis E. Martinez, D.M.D.
Dr Martinez is proud to be among the top one percent of dentists recognized for their excellence in aesthetic dentistry, treating those with basic restorations or extensive reconstructive needs as well as anyone seeking a beautiful new smile. Dr. Martinez has made a commitment to his family of patients to always provide the highest quality of care in a warm relaxed atmosphere. He has built his reputation for excellence in both general and cosmetic dentistry, earning the trust of generations of patients in our community, some of which are dentists themselves.
After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of South Florida, Dr. Martinez received his dental degree from the University of Florida and has since been in private practice. He has been dedicated to improving his skills and knowledge throughout his career and regularly attends courses at The Spear Education Center, received certification at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies in their Advanced Aesthetic program as well as countless hours in lectures and hands-on courses.
His devotion to the profession of dentistry goes beyond the treatment of his patients and continuing education, he has always been involved in organized dentistry so that the concept of “private practice” remains a reality in this world of corporate dentistry. Amongst the organizations that he belongs to are the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, the West Coast Dental Association and the Pinellas County Dental Association where he has been the Peer Review Chairman for almost twenty years. His integrity and honesty has helped him mediate many a dispute between patients and their dentist bringing about amicable solutions over the years. He is also a member of the Florida Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and Florida Academy of Dental Practice Administration, where he has served as the West Coast District Chair for the last seven years. Among the other memberships, he is most proud of being nominated and accepted fellowship in the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists. Both organizations’ core values are based on advancing excellence, ethics, professionalism and leadership in dentistry.
Away from the dental chair, Dr. Martinez’s greatest joy is his family. Married to his lifelong partner and best friend, Lauren for almost forty years, their bond is the foundation of a rich and fulfilling life. Together, they’ve raised three daughters, each carving their own paths with the same strength and warmth instilled by their parents.Aa proud grandparents of two young energetic grandsons, they relish every moment of watching the next generation grow.
Through every chapter of his life—-family, dentistry and adventure—Dr. Martinez remains grounded in the values that matter most: service, love and a deep appreciation for the life he’s built.
