Palette of Services

Are you self conscious about your mouth when you laugh, talk or smile? You may be surprised to learn that most "Hollywood" smiles aren't created by God…they are the work of a dentist. Advances in modern dentistry make it easy to restore a life-like beauty to teeth that are stained, chipped, crooked, missing or separated by wide spaces.

A more beautiful, natural looking smile can be your window to the world. Many find their smile is the signature of a successful and happy lifestyle. Straight, white teeth can take years off your appearance, helping you look healthy, vibrant and energetic. It can boost your confidence and enhance your self-esteem. We invite you to explore some of our success stories and how aesthetic dentistry can change your life!

All Porcelain Veneers

Veneers are custom-made, thin ceramic shells that are placed on the front of teeth using a very strong adhesive. They can be used to correct and treat a variety of dental conditions including discolored teeth, crooked teeth, chips, cracks, and wear. Because they are made specifically for you, veneers look and feel natural, giving you a whiter, straighter, and attractive smile.

Single Visit Dentistry [ more info ]

one visitAnother dental visit? Turns out you have better things to do with your time. We are pleased to offer our patients CEREC restoration services – a superior method of creating precisely-designed, color-matched and highly durable ceramic restorations right in our office. From simple fillings to full crowns, CEREC allows us to deliver, in most situations, the results you need in a single appointment.

Non-Metal Fillings

non-metalThe dark metal fillings you remembered as a child are now a thing of the past. Dentistry has changed dramatically in the last few years and you can now get metal free restorations in place of your old silver fillings. Whether restoring a tooth to health or replacing an existing metal filling, there are a variety of non-metal restorations available.

The reasons for choosing metal-free restorations are quite compelling: safety, strength and appearance! Today, silver-mercury (metal) amalgams are obsolete. If you have old metal fillings or even if you have new ones, your teeth and your health are at risk! Not only do metal fillings detract from the appearance of the teeth, turning them dark and gray, they also damage the remaining part of the tooth they're meant to protect! Metal fillings expand and contract with temperature changes. This movement weakens and cracks teeth. It also creates space between the tooth wall and the filling, allowing bacteria to enter, causing decay.

All Porcelain Crowns

Crowns, sometimes called caps, are porcelain coverings bonded into place over the entire tooth. They are used when a tooth has had large fillings, extensive cavities or damage, or is too weak. Porcelain crowns can be placed on your front or back teeth because they are metal-free, they look natural and you won’t see a black tell-tale dark line around your gumline.

All Porcelain Bridges

All Porcelain BridgesBridges are all-ceramic restorations that span the space created by a missing tooth and are held into place by two crowns, one on each tooth on either side of the space. Not only do dental bridges fill the space left by a missing tooth, but they also help maintain the position of your other teeth, enhance the look of your smile, and make it easier to eat the foods you love.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth WhiteningTooth whitening or bleaching is one of the most popular areas of cosmetic dentistry. Even subtle changes in shade can make someone look years younger. Several factors can contribute to the darkening of teeth, including the effects of age, certain foods and drinks, smoking, and some medications.

Full Mouth Reconstruction

Full Mouth ReconstructionIf severe dental problems are causing you discomfort, you may be a good candidate for a full mouth reconstruction. Dr. Martinez combines the aesthetics of dentistry with the science of neuromuscular dentistry to perform a full mouth reconstruction. Once the jaw is properly aligned, relieving some of the pain caused by the TMJ syndrome, cosmetic and restorative dentistry procedures are completed. The result is an attractive, pain-free new smile.

Prophylaxis (Dental Cleaning)

ProphylaxisProphylaxis, which is preformed by a licensed dental hygienist, removes plaque and tartar from the teeth. This makes the gums and teeth healthier. A proper exam is necessary prior to teeth cleaning to ensure that periodontal disease does not go undetected. Periodontal Disease is a bacterial infection of the gums, bone and ligaments that support the teeth and anchor them in the jaw. The bacteria are normal inhabitants of the mouth and form a film of dental plaque and calculus (tartar) which stick to the teeth. The bacteria produce poisonous toxins which stimulate the immune response to fight the infection. If the disease process is not stopped, the supporting structures of the teeth will continue to be destroyed. This eventually leads to tooth loss.

Recently researchers have found correlations between periodontal disease and heart disease. Periodontal disease can occur at any age. Over half of all people over the age of 18 have some form of the disease. After age 35, over 75% of all people are affected. Unfortunately, the disease process is usually asymptomatic and painless. The disease can be easily detected during regular dental examinations.

Oral Cancer Screening

Oral Cancer ScreeningOral cancer is one of the most curable diseases when it is caught early. And that’s why a simple exam has been developed using technology that has been proven successful in identifying other types of precancerous abnormalities. When oral cancer is found at the earliest stage, treatment is quicker, simpler, less invasive and more than 90% successful. Ask about this quick and painless exam that just might save your life!

Treatment for Snoring and Obstructive Sleep Apnea

SnoringAre you sick and tired of being sick and tired? Obstructive Sleep Apnea often occurs when the tongue and palate collapse into the back of the throat resulting in little or no air moving into the lungs. Nearly one in four adults in the U.S. has sleep apnea and only 10% of them know it. The most obvious signs are:

  • day time sleepiness
  • witnessed gasping of air
  • loud snoring
  • unrefreshed sleep
  • morning headaches
  • loss of energy
  • depression
  • forgetfulness
  • increasing blood pressure
  • increasing weight

Now, there is a way to treat loud snoring and sleep apnea with a dental device that prevents the collapse of the upper airway by keeping the jaw from falling down and back. This treatment is so effective that Dr. Martinez actually uses one to treat his sleep apnea.
